Chilean interior minister zeroes in on Mapuche conflict

The national police of Chile will try to finish with the Mapuche conflict with new technical equipment said Andres Chadwick (the Interior Minister) the last Friday.  He didn't `t said any more detail about it, only announced that the equipment will be recived both air- and land-based and that it will arrive soon.

Supposedly the material will  help to the  government to prevent the Mapuche action and provide evidence to blame them  about violence against the state.  Also he said that he will  confront the clashed with a firm fist, but will help to the Mapuche groups  that have the peace in mind. The Interior Minister  guaranteed  to the rest of the people "safety against those who decide to use violence with all the rigour of the law."  He added that the government have offered alternative solutions to the clashed; specifically peaceful solution but only for "those who have trusted in the action of government."  Well, the Chilean state always has had a clashes with the Mapuche nation, I mean since Chile exists as an independent nation for this reason It is a historic conflict. Today there are a  lot of Mapuche communities that continue fighting  for their autonomy and control over their ancestral lands. These demands burst the confrontations between police and protesters.

In October the Area of indigenous Development ( ADI) presented a program when supposedly would grant 100,000 acres of land development to a series of Mapuche communities in Chile`s Ercilla region. Juan Catrillanca the lonko of this community  doesn't `t believe in this government action neither in the ADI actions.

Well that is all !  It was a little of the state and press lies! See you and think about it ! Because the only violence that exist is the state violence.

goodbye´s times :)

Well Guys this is a farewell post and as such I am going to talk you about my experience with English.  Well, I have to be honest I don’t like this idiom very much because it is very difficult for me I don’t listen English music neither I am a great fan of English series. So I don’t use very much this idiom.  Anyway I need to know how speak English and understand it because is very important for my career and  for the life in general,  today all the people  should know speak English, we live in a globalized world! For this reason I like to have English in the university. I have reinforced my English here.  But I would like that the English was more useful for each career because we need to learn a lot of technical language. In many times we understand English but we don´t know the technical vocabulary.  Anyway this subject helped to me to understand English texts to other subject that were in this idiom. In this sense it safe my life. In Anthropology there are a lot of English texts that before I couldn’t read. With the blog I have strengthened my writing and my analysis ability; also it is a very funny way to practice our English. But I would like to practice my pronunciation a little more because I am very bad in that´s. Also in need to improve my grammar because I have forgotten, I usually confuse the tenses.  I plan to practice this aspect watching English television, listening English music, speaking English with my friends and traveling around the world, because when a person is in other country have no choice that learn the idiom of this.

Honestly I hardly ever use the English outside the English class; because I don’t I have this need, sometimes I use it to translate a song,  sometimes when I go to some international parties as “Miercoles Po” I use  English  to communicate with others who that  don´t know how to speak Spanish. And sometimes I use it to translate and understand some texts that are in this idiom.

Well, as you can see I don´t use very often the English but I try to get better. Anyway this semester has been very uneven because we have had a lot of walkout and outputs to other places for other subjects, I wish to be more in this classes but it was impossible. U.U

Hi class-matters today I am going to talk about the country that I would like to visit!! Well what can I say; I would like to visit all the countries over and over again, even the countries that I already visited. But first I would like to visit the magic Peru :)! Since I was a child that I want to do that. I would like visit Peru because I love its history and people, I love its landscape with a lot of contrast; the jungle, the high plateau, the cost!! I like its dances and religious parties, its social movements, its food! I love all!

About Peru I know a lot of things because my dad `s girlfriend is Peruvian and I am studying anthropology and I had a subject of Andean culture :) the best subject that I have had. I know that It is a country very diverse, where the most of its population is indigenous, It has a very beautiful history of social struggle and a very captivate culture. I know that It has one of the best food of the world and my friends have told me that is very cheap there and the travel for it is mystic and magic. In there I would like to visit Cuzco, Machu pichu and all that millennial places, meet a lot of people eat a lot of food and would like connect by the nature and myself. I would like to back-page in there.  Even I could say that I would like live there because I would learn a lot of things there, anthropology and life things, also I would like to work there;  I am sure that there are a lot of many interesting things by studying there.

My FuTuRe JoB

Hi guys! Today I am going to talk about my future job, a very complicated theme for me because I am not pretty sure what I want to do when I left the university and face the laboral world. I don´t want sell me to the system, I don´t want to be a work ´s slave, I really hate the routine; In fact, I think that is for these reasons I

am here studying anthropology. But sometimes I think i would like to work in the environment area maybe in an ONG, helping communities that are oppressed by the system to resist by building autonomy in their own places. I think that the traditional knowledge of the people is transcendental to achieve this.  The ecological anthropology could help to use this knowledge to save the nature and the communities through the communication and awareness. It is important to save the connection that the people have with the environment.  For this reason I would like to take a major about this topic. To choose a job obviously I would consider the salary, the social commitment and the work environment.  But the most important thing to me is that I like the job, and I do it with love! Well about my strengths and weakness in this sense I think that I am very sociable and persevering especially when I like an investigation but I am very relaxed, I only work with pressure :P also I really hate the people who like to do the things only in their way, in this sense I could be a little controversial. But well what can I say despite my doubts I don´t imagine doing anything else. I love the anthropology but sometimes it‘s very difficult to get rid of the colonialism that catch it. :C

About Money :S

Hello there again! Today I’m going to talk about Money, a topic very interesting and controversial at the same time. Well what can I say, to me money is not a big deal. Family, health, friends are thousand times more important than money, because as they always say: “money cannot buy happiness” or friends, or family or health.  Despite that, I can say that I don’t know what would I do without it, because in this life everything has a prize, everything costs money. I usually spend my money to lunch and on the transportation. Also when sometimes I go out to pubs and discotheques I spend money on alcohol which is pretty expensive and when I buy other things like clothes as well. However, what I like the most to spend my money is on presents to my loved ones and friends.

I have to say that I am very bad managing my budget, because I never worry about how much money I will spend or in what, I am very disorganized with that stuffs, as the money is not big deal to me I always lose it.

However, everyone has this dream about being a millionaire some day. If I was it I would invest the money in anthropological projects which help the development of communities. Also I would spend big part of the money travelling around the world.  

If I ever had to pawn something it would be my cell phone because I really really hate it, someone who likes the modern things can have it; I want a “brick”! :P

Hello! Today I am going to talk about the environment care; well I am not the more ecologist person, I mean, I  never have incorporated any  recycling habits in my life despite that I know a lot of things about it.

Well I learn about environmentally friendly practices in the school when I was a little child but I apply the easier practices  like take care the water, the places (for example don`t throw the garbage on the ground, take care of the light,  and so try  not to  pollute the atmosphere or the sea. But I never have recycling habits. Sometimes when I have enough time I use  my legs instead of a car because it is healthy   for the environment and me. :). I never have joined with any eco-organization because sometimes I think that it is a fashion that the hight society adopt for their own benefit. I think that if you want to help to this  cause you have to start for your own home and life first. About is I would like to use other kind of energy like solar energy and  Eolithic energy, don`t talk for mobil phone because the antenna kill the bees :C  and well I would like that the authorities prohibits the pollution, we can life with other kind  of energy: the sustainable energy. The idea is learn about other cultures and  not  remove nature to make life  easier; we should live with the nature  and to  nature :D. For help I try other way of travel in the city, have a lot of plants, try to don`t use things that damage the ozone layer etc. 

My society does nothing  to help the environment. In other countries people are cleaner and more concerned  about those things. In Santiago there are a lot of cars, noise pollution, garbage, atmospheric pollition and  contaminate rivers. This city is a disaster in terms of take care the environment at least today people use more bikes. :D

Hi everybody, today I am going to talk about the elections in general. Well what can I say; I am registered to vote since I am seventeen years old because when was the last  mayor elections I was eighteen years. Well I am registered because I always want to vote and in the school taught me that this was a important right that  allows us to express our opinion.  Well today I  think very differently I don't believe that this one was a legitimate democracy, for this reason I think that the electoral campaigns are horrible I hate them because they show the worse of people; that they are willing  to do anything to get the power. Also I think that since I was born that the politicians are the same and don`t give the space and opportunity to other people to participate, well whatever; nobody represents anyone in the institutional politics, the people should take themselves their own decisions like in a direct democracy. Well  I hate the politics class and I believe in a politics like Hannah Arendt define it. :)  But for now; at least would be better that the person that going to run for a public position was honesty in all the senses, not a thief, killer or rapist like a lot of our politicians and we have to make sure that they don`t  abuse their power. Well I don`t like to becoming a politician ever!!! I prefer changing the things from the bottom and with the rest of the people. All should to be participant in the construction of our world. 

   About the electoral campaigns in my district; what can I say; I hate the eternal mayor from Macul : Puyol, because he had privatized a lot of public recreation `s spaces leave us without social life in the public sense of it. So I would like that in these campaigns the politicians put their ideas in their propaganda and not their ugly faces. I wish that they don`t contaminate the city with their horrible posters and neither do they use the people to fight with others for their campaigns!! They should look for a more original form to express their ideas in their community, like making cultural activities and  showing  the things that they support to "commit themselves in  controversial issues"

Hi guys! I hope you are fine! Well today I am going to talk about my best friends! :) What can  I say,  I have a lot of best friends and I could not choose one of them because all of them are very special for me and different each one.  I have my childhood friends, my school friends, university friends, beach friends etc, and I share different moments with each one of them. But anyway, today I am going to choose one of them to talk to you about her : Her name is Mariela, but  I call her : Ita :). She is studying nursing at the USACH, and well I chose her because right now  I have been very close to her because we have a lot of things in common that  we didn't before.  Well I met her at the school when I was twelve years, but we didn't make friend immediately, she is my friend since I was fifteen. So we have been friends for about seven years!! (:. Well since that we made friends, we helped each other, she was very quiet and I was the opposite , she was responsible, introverted and I  helped her to not to go to these extreme and have more confidence in herself. She helped me to be more quiet and think the things before tell them. So we both have changed a lot of  bad things and grew together and with the time and the distance our friendship has grown become each time stronger :D. I consider her one of my best friends because she is always  here, even when I don`t need her XD, She is honest with me, she changes and we always make crazy things together, maybe I am a bad influence for her but  don`t  matter to me; I want her to live the life!!! She is very special because she is the only friend who knows all my secrets, I can confide in her like no other, we are very different in many things but she doesn't judge me and always understands me.

Hi guys!  Today I am going to talk about  my experiences during the first term of 2012. Sincerely it was a very stressful, maybe because I am in third year and in the first and second years the subject was more relaxing and easier. Well I had some demanding subject like "Andina" and "Teoría de la cultura" that really made me crazy in sometimes but finally I ended loving them. I learnt a lot of things about philosophy, I knew the new stars of philosophy like Jameson, Lakan, Castoriadis etc. I learnt about a different culture: "the Andean" and  I was nearer that the things that supposedly make the anthropologist XD. I remember with a lot of happiness our study travel to "San Pedro de Atacama" because in there we were living with "atacameños" in their "ayllus" and we learnt a lot of them and have an unforgettable experience. Well although was a stressful  semester "I had a life" so I went out each time  I can, I played soccer, I danced, traveled etc, but it could  be better, because with the studies travels we did not have enough time,  so my team and I lost a lot of soccer games by "walkover"  U.U  Well about the problems I only remember that somebody stole my camera and notebook. It was very sad because him or them stole all my remembers D:  but I got over.  About my family and friends all was OK.

Well today I am going to talk about my city, to be honest I really don’t like it, because is very big and polluted. The people are always in a hurry.  But well is my home so, something good it has to have. For example I love the night life, the street art, like musicians, draftsman, and juggler which give to the city other sense. I like the rap that tells us about the life in the city, about the power abuse, outrage.  I love this things because prove that the people in here is alive dispite that in general they might look like robots, the city has its own expression.  Also I love the mountain especially after the rain.  I don’t like very much the city, I hate the transport, the big distances, the routine, the weather. The transport really makes me lose a lot of time, also the big distance so, I am always late, because I am very slow in everything. I hate the routine, the crowd in the most of the places. I hate the weather because is so warm in summer and so cold in winter.  D:  I really hate the buildings and the polluted because don’t let me see the stars.  To change the city I would take out the cars and building and I would  put more trees and I would like  the people used more bicycles, and they were nice to the dogs and other animals on the streets.  To the people that visit the city I’d give them  some tips like: don’t use the subway in peak time, take care theirself in dangerous places, visit the rivers like Clarillo and  Maipo, the hills, and de Andes Mountain Range, also go out walking  to de Forestal Park and enjoy all the street art that Santiago has.

Hi guys! How are you? I hope you are fine J . Well today I am going to write about two videos that I consider very funny.  Well the first one is a reggaeton video about a child, I like it because its shows how the kids imitate the adult in all the aspect about the reggaeton videos, for example they imitate the adults clothes, moves, lyrics song, dancers etc.  Is very funny see this kind of production in a little child, the girls dance like the adult dancers, they take it seriously XD, also I have a very black humor, what can I say the kid have a funny aspect too. I am so bad :P . I found them in my Facebook because my little brother put it in my wall. I do not think that this one is the best video that I never saw, but is recently the only one that I can remember. I do not see other think that does not funny videos, well apart of the tutorial and music videos. The second one is a video that remember me the school time when we (my class and i) spent the class time watching funny videos from YouTube. For this reason is important for me because its transport me to the day that I watch it and for this reason a very good epoch for meJ.  The video call the jumping bear and is about a poor bear that is rescued but unfortunately it fell after jumping  from the tree in a trampoline. I like it, is so sad, cute and funny J, don’t worry the bear is okay the accident is a little fall.

In the present I would like to learn a lot of languages, as French, Italian, Arab, English and others. I will like to learn thing of everything (biology, physical, mathematics and of course society) I know this is difficult, but I hope someday achieve this. Now I paint with a lot of techniques and also I cook, but I will like to learn more of each.

One day my mom said to me that it is never too late for learn things, so I’m not despondent and I hope that you neither, it is all about practice and effort

Hi! Guys! I hope you`re fine! In this time I am going to talk about my interestsJ...Well since I was a child, I like the music, and draw, and play soccer but I always had to learn of my own, for example I started drawn first traced and then copied  others drawing, I was around 4 years old. Right now I left it, because I don`t have any time neither inspiration.  In the music area I always like to dance..and I  was in some courses like hip hop and other but I left them I suppose that since I was a child I hate the routine , have to be punctual and awkward. About the instruments I always want to learn to play the guitar because with it I can sing, but in my school only taught us to play flute and xylophone so I had to wait to learn to play guitar, in fact a lot of people in my family played guitar but they never teach me. And about the sport when I was child I like to swim; and I was a very good  swimmer but I left it too, also I played  soccer, I always had a lot of mail friends  that taught me. In 2009 I played in the “Caracol azul” a couple of weeks, but I left it because I want to go to Iloca. Well I lost the opportunity to play in a team, maybe I didn’t matter me because I preferred to play in Colo Colo <3  .  Well I think that right now I had lost a lot of qualities that I had in my school epoch. Maybe the school fosters ours talent…  I would like to pursue with all of this things but I don´t have enough time to do it. I am very regretful about it I should be more persevering and awkward but what can I do; the past is the past and right now I am learning to play the trumpet, my favorite instrument! Also I finally learn to play the guitar but it is a knowledge that should be always reinforce: You need to practice a lot of…and every time..  Maybe someday the people who practices and have this talent could play as Jason Becker or Jimmy Hendrix.

Well... What can I say…the knowledge never end… like  Socrates says ( I think so) : I only know that nothing know.

Hi again guys! In this time i going to talk about me and my career. Well i am studying  social antropology. I am in third year, i chose  my mention this year and although some problems about the institution (like subjects that there isn`t very good.) i am happy  with my choice.

I am studying anthropology because i want  help to the people, i think that this career give us good tool to do that. I thik that the culture involve all the current social problems. The anthropologist know the people because sometimes live with them and considering that to formulate the theory and resolve the people problems. I see in the anthropology a tool to change the things that are not okey in our society. For this reason help to resolve a lot of problems, like poverty, inequality, discrimination, power abuse, education etc. It contribute to understand us better. I think: if the education was better would enter a big diversity of people with different experiences. I think that my career is very “elitist”  How can  this career be like this if we are supposedly empathetic?

I think that the better tool for this profession is the experience, because with it you can learn to related  with the people. Well in this semester my favourite subject is Andean because is incredible the different that are this societies and their beautiful way to think is amaizing.

Hi guys today i gonna talk to you about my favorite animal; the dogs. Well what can i say i have all an history about it. It starts when i was a little child and i really scared me dogs; when i saw i hung on any person tall that was with me. I always loved dogs but it really scared me. One day, i met a little dog that my brother and i called Boffy XD...we gave it some food and it came back the next day... it was so lovely,a really faithful animal.

The dog love us, played with us and we hid it of dad and mom, but there was a problem, the dog was pregnant and all the neighborhood ´s dogs followed it. The things was really crazy, my parents was mad.

One day, my dad told me that he have to take away to Boffy because it was pregnant. U.U. He told me that he leve it in a dog´s home, I believed him i was so silly because that places don´t exist.

Well, since i met Boffy my life changed, because i lost fear to dogs. Then i met Coca, the dog that was my partner since now. Both of them Boffy and Coca changed my childhood because it made it very funny, happy and filled my life with new experiences about it beautiful animals that not for nothings are calling the best friends of the men.

Dogs are my favorite animal because it are a very good company, it makes me laugh so much, are really funny, and spontaneous. I can decode all its feeling, it are very expressive and smart. For example Coca can use its cute face to get some food... It are so sweet, because take care of you and knows when you are sad, it feel your sadness.

But dogs are very dependents, for example some dogs die when its owners died.

Well, the website is http://jaidefinichon.com/, a place in the internet where you can express your ideas freely  and  look at how the other people express their ideas. Most of them are stupid things that make me laugh, like dog`s funny pictures and political and social satires `s  pictures for example.  But anyway  it has a strong social content. In general i like this site because is very popular but not in the “pop” sense but in the  popular culture sense, for this  reason is a very picturesque site whithout censur, i mean, the people can express with sweardwords, can upload picture about important politicians, what can i say the site is a different way, a very crude one to express in many time the dissatisfied with the system.

On the other hand It’s a funny and burlesque site that take the bad things about life and make its fun, for this reason i like it. It`s like a very tipical chilean way to see the problems and i love the satira and irony  that stupid webcite like this.  what can i say it make me laugh!

I discoverd it because one day my brother show me a picture i dont remember how was it but since this day i visit this web cite  every time i can but  In this moment i don`t have enough time. Is so sad can`t  visit it!  Before to start the classes i always visit jaidefinichon.

Hi! Again guys!! In this time I´m gonna talk to you about one of my favorites bands: The Fabulosos cadillacs. Well  the true is that I have a lots of favorites bans the most of them are ska bands like Autenticos decadentes, La mosca tse-tse , Los calzones rotos, Skapulario, etc…but  I think that this one( fabulosos cadillacs) are the most important both for their musical path and their influence in the Latin America `s music.

The Fabulosos Cadillacs is one of the most important Latin American bands of the 90`s. They are an Argentinean and ska band, but they mixture a lot of other rhythm with its like rock and reggae.  The band`s members are Gabriel Fernadez ( Vicentico), the singer;  Flavio Cianciarulo, the bass player; Sergei Itzcowick, the trumpet player; Sergio Rotman, the saxophonist; Luciano Giugno the percussion man;  Mario Siperman, keyboards man; Anibal Rigozzi the  guitarist; Fernando Ricardi the drummer; Naco Goldfinger  and Rovert Calcaño  that play others instruments.

Well, what can I say they are a big band in all the senses.  I started to listen their music when I was a child because in the school we played their music.  I like them because their message was important and their music very powerful and cheerful.  I mean they have really good lyrics that show us a social criticism for example in the Mal bicho song their sing to the people like the Latin American dictator and all the people that abuse of their power. Well other songs like “desaparecidos” , “Gallo rojo” and “Matador” have a great politic and  social content.

Well, for this reason my favorite song is “Mal Bicho” because it is a shout against the discrimination and the people that things that is better that the rest.  Well so like me the sounds of the instruments and the rhythm.

Hi guys! I hope you are fine..well  today i gotta talk to you about this photography,  that  my cousin Natalia took in the 2011´s summer .  That  was  ten month after the tsunami in this beautiful beach. It shows a normal Dicember day in the beach, where  very few people live.  

It reflect a relaxed day with my friends  far away from Santiago. We was playing to jump for the picture, runnig near the see and playing volleyball.

 I like it because it shows how happy was in this moment.  It was the first time that i invited to my friend to Iloca so i was very nervious and excited because was my first time alone in the town too  (i mean without adults). I really felt me free in this moment!! The things couldn´t be better, i can invite my Iloca´s friends and made a party  with them and my Santiago´s friends, i always wish that. So this picture rembember me this freedom ´s wish and my independently weekend. I love this picture because it shows a normal day in the beach but it was not for me, the tsunami have  brought  many sadness and destruction and i  was scared to lose this magic place and  its especial people. Finally in December I could comeback to Iloca and be with my friend again, all was fine, iloca and the guys to stand up, i remeber a sing that say: the things that don´t kill us made us more strong.

So, the picture represent  this return for me too. Finally i have to say that i love the  sun ligth in this picture and how the sea looks with it.

Hi again guys!! about the technolgy i can tell you that i don`tt like very much, because i preffer the more simple life and i think that the technologies don`t make the life easier. Some time i think that it favour the individualism and the material life.

But anyway i have my favorite technology : the electric guitar. I like it because i really love how it sounds , and how i can liberate tensions when i play it. I always wanted one, and finally i got it  in the 2010 `s christmas, Santa Clouse gave it to me. XD So for, I have played guitar for a year. I play it every day durnig the summer but never play when i  am studing, just when i have some tensions.
I like it because i love the music and learn to play the guitar is essential to start. Besides i really love the effects  and its particular sound: the electric XD and the metallic strings. I really like play ska with it.
My life would be more boring and  i would not  know the  people that kwen playing guitar. This people would not arround me now. Well, i really nedd express my ideas with the music so my life would be terrible.

Hi again guys! In this post I will write about a place where I had a really nice stay in spite of the conditions: we had not bathrooms neither water or light but it was amazing! The magical place that I visited was San Pedro de Atacama, at the north of our country.

Well, I visited San Pedro in 2010 at the end of October, because there was the Anthropology´s congress and my classmates and I decided to go. My friend and I sold some things to get the money to the ticket´s buss. Others classmates traveled hitchhking trucks. They were so brave!  The trip was very long but was worth it. I really loved the town: it was so different to any other place that I had ever visited. It was like a place transported in time, all the constructions there are made from “adobe”, everything looks very old but picturesque, the streets are very narrow, this place is very quiet, and everyone is always relaxed.

San Pedro is located in the Atacama´s desert. It is in an oasis where the mountains are impressive. With its colors and geography San Pedro captivated me. Well, in my travel, I go to the congress three days with my classmates, where we learned a little about the work of some anthropologist, it was very interesting.

After that we bought a tour, and went to the Tatio ´s geysers, Machuca´s town, The Moon ´s valley, The Rainbow ´s valley, The Tulor´s village and some antiquities petroglyphs. All those places liked me, but my favorite was The Moon valley, because did make me feel quiet and relaxed. It is very beautiful. After that my classmates got back to Santiago, but my friends and I stayed. There we met the night life in San Pedro de Atacama; we went to a “Tambo”. I loved this place because had not many tourist.  Andean music was played and many girls danced very well. We try to dance like them but it was difficult. Any way we danced all the night, we met some people from San Pedro and the next day went to another clandestine party, it was next to our tent. D: Don’t worry nothing happened. The next day we went to an altiplanica ´s lake and to a salt-flat with strange persons that proved to be good. So I didn´t worry about it.  Well to sum up I had a great experience to camp in San Pedro with my classmates, because I could know a lot of in a few days J  well, I hope that you travel to San Pedro once because it is a wonderful place.

Hi guys, I am Camila, I am from Santiago but i hate it XD! I really would like to live in a small town nearly  beach, but this is the life XD…. Well however, i am 21 years old and I m studying anthropology. I am in my third year. I chose the social anthropology´s mention because it is the best ( no i am kidding) ; because I want to work with people and help them.  

And…well this is me… I like the music; I really love the ska and reggae also like the soul, bachatas and hip hop.  What can I say I am very diverse in this field. For this reason I play the guitar and I like to sing. Also like to dance. I really love to dance salsa and hip hop, I like to play soccer….and my favorite soccer ´s tem obviously is Colo-Colo the best :D
